Last month, Girona star Savinho publicly talked about his dream to join Manchester City.

The La Liga side took the forward on loan from Troyes, a club owned by the City Football Group, who also have Manchester City in their stable.

Girona sporting director Quique Cárcel recently stated Barcelona’s interest in 19-year-old fills him “with pride”. Mundo Deportivo have relayed his quotes and also explain why the La Liga giants have cooled their interest in Savinho.

Barca sporting director Deco is an admirer of Savinho and the club also like him. Despite all this, a potential deal will be difficult to carry out and Pep Guardiola’s side are one of the reasons for that.

The Citizens owners would prefer to retain the player within their own group, and if they decide to sell him, the fee they would demand would be very high.

Girona are leading the table and the South American has scored four goals and registered four assists from 13 league games this season.

If he were to establish himself as a star, Mundo state the ‘priority will be given to Manchester City’.

These are at least three reasons why Barcelona would find it difficult to buy the player in the future, which is why they ‘cool down’ the option to sign the attacker.

Jorginho’s agent Joan Santos has told TuttoMercatoWeb that a decision on the midfielder’s future at Arsenal will be made next year.

Last Friday, the 31-year-old stated that he will definitely return to Italy at some point in his career. A day later, Santos had refused to rule out the possibility of the former Napoli man moving back to Serie A.

He has a deal expiring in 2024 and Arsenal have an option to extend it for another year.

The Brazil-born Italy international missed another penalty in Azzurri’s 5-2 victory over North Macedonia in the European qualifier last Friday. He has now missed three penalties in a row for the national team and TMW wanted to get Santos’ views on this.

Towards the end of the chat, the representative was also asked about Jorginho’s long-term future at the north London club.

When asked if the player will renew the deal at Arsenal, he said: “Everything is at a standstill. We’ll think about it after February. However, the priority remains Arsenal.”

This season, the midfielder has made 13 appearances, which includes four league starts, which came in Arsenal’s last five league games. His recent form for the Gunners has seen Jorginho return to the Italy squad after five months.

Earlier this month, we covered claims from Italy that Tottenham Hotspur have their eyes set on AS Roma’s Bryan Cristante.

The 28-year-old operates as a defensive midfielder, and can also be used in the middle of the pitch and as a centre-back. José Mourinho has used him in all three positions this season, and he’s managed two goals and three assists from 16 games.

Cristante is an ‘indispensable’ player for the Portuguese tactician and his performances have caught the attention of Tottenham. That’s according to Il Messaggero, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, who provide the latest on this case.

It’s claimed Spurs have identified the Italy international as a target for next summer and are ‘ready to invest’ €30m to sign him.

The versatile player has a deal lasting until 2027 and the report states the Serie A side would find it difficult to turn down a €30m Tottenham offer for him.

Il Messaggero don’t mention whether the Italian is open to joining the Premier League side.

For the past two months, claims coming out of Portugal have stated Manchester United are following Benfica’s João Neves closely.

Last week, Record reported the 19-year-old has convinced the Red Devils that they should make a move for him. It was also stated the Eagles aren’t in a rush to sell the player who has a €100m release clause.

Portugal have qualified for next summer’s Euros, after sealing a 2-0 win over Iceland on Sunday. Prior to the clash, A Bola had a chat with Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes.

The Red Devils star was also asked about the recent reports linking Neves with a move to Old Trafford. When responding to that, the Portugal international only had kind words to say about his compatriot.

“He’s already playing alongside me in the national team, where only the best get in. He has a lot of quality, a huge margin for progression, and he is a humble and hardworking kid,” he said about Neves.

“He likes to learn, beyond what he already knows, which is a lot. He has an incredible reading of the game for his age.”

Last week, Record stated the Premier League side watched Neves in action in Benfica’s 2-1 win over Sporting, where he got his name on the scoresheet.

The outlet also pointed out the Manchester United captain had accompanied Neves to the national team camp last week, and this indicates Fernandes seems to have already taken the Benfica star under his wing.

Neves has made 18 appearances this season, managing a goal and an assist in the process.

For the past few weeks, claims from Italy have discussed Newcastle United’s desire to sign Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners.

Earlier this month, TuttoMercatoWeb stated the Tyneside club have identified the 25-year-old and his teammate, Éderson, as targets. It was also suggested they could try signing one of them in January.

Tutto Atalanta now state Newcastle have taken a step back in their pursuit of Koopmeiners.

The Netherlands international is valued at €55m and despite initially showing interest in him, Eddie Howe’s side ‘appear to be slowing down their bid’ to sign him.

It’s claimed they are facing ‘significant obstacles’ in their desire to strengthen the midfield in January. One of them is the possibility of breaching Financial Fair Play rules and this is influencing Newcastle’s transfer business.

That doesn’t mean the English club are going to give up on the player as Tutto Atalanta suggest they could postpone their approach until next summer.

Juventus and Inter Milan are interested in Koopmeiners and with Newcastle ‘biding their time’, it could open a door for the Serie A duo to try to sign him in the winter market.

The outlet ends the report by stating Atalanta ‘certainly won’t deprive themselves of the Dutch talent easily’.

Koopmeiners has managed three goals and two assists from 15 games this season.

Celta’s Óscar Mingueza has ended up on West Ham United’s transfer agenda.

That’s according to Fichajes.net, who state the Hammers have been keeping an eye on La Liga and the 24-year-old is the player they ‘like the most’.

Operating mainly as a right-back and at times as a wing-back, he has managed a goal and two assists from 14 games this season.

The defender has been a key player for the Spanish club and has taken another step in his career under Rafael Benítez’s guidance this season. This has drawn the attention of West Ham.

It’s said the Europa Conference League winners could ‘launch an offer’ in January, after receiving approval from David Moyes to go ahead with the operation.

The report adds West Ham are trying to close the deal for around €20m, and if they were to make this offer, Fichajes.net say Celta ‘would accept without consideration’. Mingueza, for his part, could be open to making a switch to England.

West Ham have Vladimír Coufal and Ben Johnson as the two right-backs in their squad and the duo have deals expiring in 2024, with the former having an option for another year. Taking this account, a move for Mingueza in the upcoming windows would make sense.

On October 24th, Radu Drăgușin’s agent Florin Manea revealed that he’s had meetings with Newcastle United over a potential deal for the Genoa player. His mother had also talked about a dream move to England.

Later that month, the agent further backed up the Magpies’ interest and stated the Serie A side would need around €30m to sanction the defender’s sale.

Earlier this week, Gianluca Di Marzio stated the 21-year-old is set to extend his contract. Two days ago, TuttoMercatoWeb reported there would be a gentleman’s agreement in the new deal, which can allow Newcastle to sign the defender for around €30m.

After the claims of interest from the Premier League side and others emerged, Romania’s Digi Sport got in touch with the centre-back to get an update on his future plans.

“I’m fine, I feel in very good shape. I am going through a moment that can only make me happy. I will not leave Genoa, we are in discussions for a new contract, but these things are secondary,” he said.

“It is important to have results and to have as easy a championship as possible. It’s a very pleasant feeling. It means that your work is also appreciated by the rest. My focus is to develop and evolve as best I can.”

The Romania international’s latest comments could come as a blow for Eddie Howe’s side, after his agent earlier insisted about Newcastle’s desire to sign the player.

Drăgușin has managed a goal and an assist from 14 games this season. He scored in Genoa’s 1-0 win over Hellas Verona last Friday.

Norway’s football association have confirmed that Manchester City star Erling Haaland will miss their European qualifier against Scotland due to an injury.

The striker suffered an ankle injury in his country’s 2-0 win over Serbia on Thursday, and the national team doctor, Ola Sand, had stated the Manchester City star will have to carry out tests to find out the extent of the damage.

After consulting with Norway manager Ståle Solbakken and Sand, Norway have now made a decision to leave the 23-year-old out of the squad for Sunday’s fixture against Scotland. The doctor, however, has insisted Haaland’s injury isn’t serious.

“The injury isn’t serious, but he is in so much pain and somewhat restricted function that the Scotland game unfortunately comes a little too early,” he said.

Meanwhile, Solbakken has stated he’ll not bring in a replacement for the frontman for the weekend clash.

On November 25th, Manchester City will host Liverpool in the league clash and the latest news about Haaland would certainly not please both Pep Guardiola and the treble winners.

The Citizens are leading the league table and are one point ahead of the Reds, who are in the second spot. The former Borussia Dortmund man’s absence could be a big blow for Guardiola’s side.

Haaland has scored 17 goals and registered four assists from 18 games this season.

Sandro Tonali will miss the rest of this season due to suspension and this could force Newcastle United to look for a new midfielder in the winter market.

The Tyneside club have been linked to a few players and this includes Rúben Neves, who joined Al-Hilal in the summer window.

According to Sport, Newcastle have a desire to bring the former Wolves man back to the Premier League.

The Magpies have already taken the necessary steps as the report states the 26-year-old ‘has a proposal’ to join them in January.

Newcastle’s interest is pointed out when Sport cover Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wanting to bring him to the Emirates.

Newcastle’s interest makes some sense, especially given there’s been reports from Portugal saying Neves fancies a return to England.

However, a deal depends on developments that will take place on November 21st, when the Premier League will make a decision on whether or not to impose a loan ban on players from associated clubs.

Meanwhile, AS state the Saudi Pro League have no desire to weaken their project, and are going to be ‘very strict’ when it comes to sanctioning loan moves for their players.

Arsenal are keen on signing Rúben Neves in the winter market, according to Sport.

The 26-year-old left Wolverhampton Wanderers for Al-Hilal in the last window, and prior to that, he was subject to interest from various clubs.

This includes Arsenal and Barcelona, although not everyone at the Blaugrana was keen.

The Saudi Arabian club paid €55m for the midfielder, and others found this price to be too high, considering he had a year left on his deal at Molineux.

Arsenal are still interested in him because of Mikel Arteta, report Sport. It’s said the player is ‘Arteta’s new wish’ and the Gunners have a ‘firm intention’ to secure his services in January.

This season, Thomas Partey has struggled with form and injuries, and could be shown the exit door. The report states Arteta wants to replace him with Neves, who is the priority target for the manager.

Sport state Arteta has never wanted to dismiss the possibility of signing the Portugal international and continues to insist to the Arsenal board that they try to make an approach for him in January.

The player must be open to returning to England for the north London club to carry out his signing. The operation won’t be easy because AS state the Saudi clubs will be ‘very strict’ with players in the next window, so they don’t weaken their project.
