Tottenham player ‘eager to show off’ – Could ditch January exit if Postecoglou gives more chances

The big news in the media around Juventus this week is a couple of the Turin club’s officials travelling to London for talks over January signings.

They’re in desperate need of a midfielder, given the bans for Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli, and there’s multiple options to be looked at in the Premier League.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been strongly dragged back into the picture in the past few days, after previous reports went a little off the boil.

Tuttosport, a Turin newspaper, now again look to dampen hopes the Tottenham player could be arriving at the Serie A side in January.

It’s stated that whilst talks have been held, there’s not a great deal of confidence. That’s because Juventus are keen on a loan deal, potentially with a buying option which favours them, but not so happy about a permanent transfer.

That wouldn’t please Tottenham, who it’s stated are still looking for €30m to part ways with the Denmark international.

On top of that, it’s explained Hojbjerg is ‘eager to show off’, regardless of whether that is for Tottenham or anyone else.

He’s going to look for chances under Ange Postecoglou, and the upcoming AFCON is a clear chance of more opportunities.

So, should he have his manager’s trust and the real hope of playing a bigger part, then the idea of a January exit could be shelved.
