Leroy Sané’s improving performances for Bayern Munich and Germany should make Bayern Munich ‘a little worried’ as Liverpool potentially eye a move.

That’s according to Sky Germany, who cover the player today and his newfound maturity and the problems that may cause for Bayern.

They explain that Sané has taken on responsibility at the start of the season with Bayern, with a tally of nine goals in 18 games and seven assists a record that makes him an ‘offensive whirlwind’.

The hope for them and Germany is that he can continue this on a consistent basis but in the meantime, Bayern need to get him signed to a new deal as his numbers haven’t gone unnoticed.

His current deal at the Allianz Arena expires in 2025 so there is a pressing need to extend that and ensure he doesn’t enter next year in the final 12 months of his deal, particularly as his performance ‘naturally arouses the desires’ of other clubs.

Liverpool are one of them and Jurgen Klopp ‘probably wants’ to lure his fellow German to Anfield, something that should cause Bayern to be ‘a little worried’.

That’s a story we’ve seen developing over the last week or so, with a report earlier this week indicating that Liverpool were interested, and Bayern were finally responding to that interest.

Sky now say that they should be worried about the growing interest and the possibility of a move in the coming months.

In the world of the modern footballer, privacy is a hard thing to come by, as Brighton and Hove Albion’s Pascal Groß has found out while on international duty this week.

That’s according to BILD, who relay a funny and unfortunate story involving the Brighton man and some of his Germany teammates, who found themselves caught up in ‘chaos’ this week.

The newspaper explains that the Germany squad met up for a ‘harmless team building exercise’ this week that ended up in a ‘full red flag’.

The group had planned a harmless evening out as a group on Thursday evening, heading to an Italian steakhouse chosen by Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.

At 8:05pm they entered the restaurant before spending two hours enjoying themselves and generally relaxing before their clash with Turkey.

But ‘then things got strange’. The team bus arrived to collect the group but five of them, including Brighton’s Groß, left through the side entrance.

Rather than getting the bus they headed for a waiting taxi but were then met with ‘constant, blaring honking’ coming from the vehicle that the driver couldn’t stop.

This went on for so long and caused such a fuss that the local residents came out of their houses to watch and film the ‘strange scenario’ and the unfortunate drivers’ attempts to rectify the situation.

In the interim, the rest of the team emerge and get on the bus before taking off without their teammates. Cue ‘emergency braking’ and DFB security officer José Meneses emerging on his phone to the Brighton man and his teammates, who were now back in the restaurant and stuck after abandoning their taxi plan.

They eventually reunited with their teammates, headed back to the hotel and presumably faced the ridicule of the rest of the group, who had avoided the chaos by simply sticking to the original script.

Fulham and Nottingham Forest could sign Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy for an ‘easy’ €17.5m fee in the January transfer window.

That’s according to BILD, who say the Premier League duo have been keeping an eye on the attacker ‘for a long time’ and can get him on the cheap if they so wish.

The newspaper reports that, according to their information, striker Guirassy, who has 15 goals in nine games this season, can leave for a €17.5m fee in January thanks to a clause in his current contract.

There are no shortage of interested parties in the player and a recent unsanctioned interview in which he looked ahead to the transfer window made it sound like he would be interested in a move.

Fulham and Nottingham Forest are among the suitors and know the striker ‘would like’ to move to the Premier League at some point in his career.

They’ve been keeping an eye on him ‘for a long time’ and the aforementioned transfer fee ‘would be easy’ for both clubs to cover. If one of them were to get serious about a deal, a transfer ‘is not unlikely’.

This is something those in charge at Stuttgart know and according to BILD’s information, they’ve been looking for a possible replacement for months should he leave.

It now remains to be seen if Fulham or Nottingham Forest now make their move for the goalscorer, who it seems is very much available on the cheap should they want him.

This week, Bayern Munich announced the signing of Nestory Irankunda from Adelaide United.

Following an agreement with the Australian club, the Bundesliga side will be bringing the youngster to Europe next summer, when he’ll be 18.

It turns out that Chelsea had also been interested in Irankunda, according to German journalist Christian Falk.

The Bild reporter took quotes from the player himself: “There were offers from Premier League teams, but my father said he supported Bayern.”

And in what seems to be Falk’s own information, it’s claimed Chelsea were one of those sides.

It’s not clear whether the Blues made any kind of attempt to land the teenager, while Bayern found a deal with Adelaide United for just over €3.5m.

Irankunda has just started his professional career, and has nine goals and two assists in 39 appearances for his club so far.

What may have drawn Chelsea and Bayern attention are his performances for Australia’s youth teams, as big European clubs often have scouts at international tournaments to check out some talents.

As announced by the German club, Irankunda is now tied to a ‘long-term’ contract with them.

Manchester United continue to have RB Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba on their radar, according to Bild.

The Bundesliga side signed the 20-year-old from Lyon in the last window and prior to that, the Red Devils had looked at him.

Despite the summer disappointment, Erik ten Hag’s side haven’t forgotten about the centre-back.

It’s claimed Manchester United are still interested in the player and want to bring him to Old Trafford.

Bild add the English club continue to target him and their scouts have recently watched the France international ‘again and again’.

Lukeba’s deal lasts until 2028 and the report makes no mention of a price tag or a release clause. That’s because they state it’s ‘almost impossible’ for Manchester United or any other club to take him away from the German club next summer.

Leipzig see the Frenchman as an integral part of their future plans and believe that he can continue to develop.

Lukeba has made 16 appearances this season and his displays for Leipzig helped him make his debut for France during October’s international break. He’s currently with the France U21 squad, preparing for the upcoming matches against Austria and South Korea.

Bayern Munich’s supervisory board met this week, alongside manager Thomas Tuchel and Sports Director Christoph Freund to discuss transfers, including Fulham’s Joao Palhinha.

That’s according to Kicker, relayed by FCB Inside, who say the Portuguese star remains on Bayern’s radar as they seek a number six for their squad.

The newspaper reports that Bayern’s board met for it’s quarterly meeting in Munich on Monday, during which they discussed various topics, including planning for the January transfer window.

A defensive midfielder and a defender are being targeted and Palhinha ‘remains a candidate’ for the former after their attempts to sign him in the summer.

That deal fell through because Fulham couldn’t get a replacement on deadline day, but their interest has remained as Tuchel wants to add a proper holding six to his squad.

Bayern are again looking at him again but also other options as Fulham could demand “more than €70m, more like €75m” for the player after he signed a new deal at Craven Cottage following his failed move in the summer.

Whether that’s too much for the German champions after they agreed the €70m deal in the summer is yet to be known and was presumably discussed at the meeting this week.

The fact that transfers was discussed would explain why Freund and Tuchel were at the meeting, even though they don’t have a seat on the supervisory board.

They are, though, working on signing possible reinforcements in January and Palhinha may be among them again after the summer drama.

Brighton and Hove Albion star Pascal Groß has insisted he knows nothing about rumours linking him with a move to Eintracht Frankfurt but admitted they are a “great, big, traditional club.”

The midfielder has been speaking to various media in Germany as he links up with the German national team for this international break.

Groß has been shining again for Brighton again this season, reaffirming his status as a key player under Roberto de Zerbi.

He’s very much a vital part of the plan under the Italian boss, something which has seemingly not gone unnoticed back in his native Germany.

A report this week stated that Eintracht Frankfurt are potentially eyeing a move for the Brighton man as they continue to look at bolstering their squad.

That report indicated that Groß is a long-term target for the club, who held talks with him in 2022 about a potential move and haven’t stopped watching him in the time since.

It seems, though, that interest is not something the Brighton man is aware of at this point, as he batted away questions on the matter in comments today.

“I don’t know anything about it,” Sport Buzzer report him saying.

“Basically, I follow the Bundesliga very closely. Contact with Germany was never broken. I watch a lot of games.

“Eintracht has done very, very well in recent years – with victory in the Europa League as the highlight. This is a great, big, traditional club.”

Brighton and Hove Albion star Pascal Groß has admitted he is now feeling more comfortable on the international stage and like he has “arrived” in the Germany squad.

The midfielder has been speaking to various media after linking up Julian Nagelsmann’s side for their upcoming games against Turkey and Austria.

He’s very much a fully-fledged member of the international set up after only making his debut in the 4-1 loss to Japan back in September.

He added to that cap with another in the 2-1 win over France later that month before again linking up with the squad for the games against USA and Mexico in the last international break.

It’s been something of a late bloom for the Brighton man, who had very much been ignored by the national team earlier in his career.

That has changed since Roberto de Zerbi’s arrival at Brighton, though, with the German playing an important role under his leadership and in the success, they’ve enjoyed over the last year or so.

That’s now seen him recognised on the international stage and he admits he feels more comfortable than he once did.

“I feel like I’ve arrived,” ASB Zeitung report him saying.

“The team has made me feel very welcome, I feel better than I did in my first place. It’s better.”

If you’ve been following along since the summer, you’ll know that Naby Keita’s planned revival in Germany after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer absolutely hasn’t worked out.

The midfielder left Anfield at the end of his deal in the summer and returned to the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen, looking to bounce back after a difficult few years ruined by various injuries.

The hope was that he could put those injury issues behind him and star at Bremen but that’s not proven to be the case, with various issues meaning he’s barely featured for the German side. That’s led to growing frustration over the deal and BILD say the frustration has now turned to absolute ‘fear’ when it comes to the player.

They explain that Bremen will play a friendly against second division team Hansa Rostock this week in an attempt to keep non-internationals fit and help others gain match fitness too.

However, former Liverpool midfielder Keita will not be a part of the group as he is still injured, and the club don’t want to risk him.

“Naby will not be used yet.  We will continue to build him up in training.  The goal is for him to be able to play again after the international break,” head of first team football Clemens Fritz told the newspaper.

They then explain that those in charge in Bremen ‘don’t want to rush anything’ with the ‘injury-prone’ midfielder, having already been stung this season.

According to them ‘the fear of another injury is too great’ and so Bremen will have to do without the former Liverpool man for a second time.

When he actually returns appears to still be in the air, with the German side now so terrified of losing him to injury they’re not taking even the smallest of risks, a feeling we’re sure those at Anfield can relate to.

Bayern Munich are ‘finally reacting’ to Liverpool’s interest in Leroy Sane and planning contract talks to keep him away from Anfield.

That’s according to journalist Christian Falk, who says the Premier League side’s interest is finally starting to concern those in charge at the Allianz Arena.

Sane has been in sensational form for Bayern this season, with eight goals and six assists in 11 games in the Bundesliga so far and a goal and an assist in four games in the Champions League group stages.

He appears to have finally found his role for the German champions, having struggled to live up to the €49m price they paid to sign him from Manchester City in 2020.

The focus is now on his contract situation, with the forward’s current deal set to expire in 2025, meaning he will be in the final year of his deal as of the end of this season.

So far there have been no contract talks to extend that deal, leading to reports that he could leave in the coming months.

Liverpool have been named as suitors for some time, with several reports making it clear that they could move for the player if they lose Mohamed Salah, who appears to be the major target for the Saudi Pro League moving forwards.

And according to Falk that interest has now been recognised by Bayern, who will move to get a new deal done even if there isn’t much leeway in the budget.

“Leroy Sané is currently playing in the form of his life for Bayern and as reported, FC Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp have their eyes on him,” he said.

“And now Bayern are finally reacting. As Sport Director Christoph Freund confirmed in the SportBILD, there was a contact recording. I listened around. Yes, and it should look like this. FC Bayern would like to extend the contract with him. Therefore, after the international break, he offered to get together.

“A conversation should then be agreed upon directly, namely with Sané’s consultant Fali Ramadani. He then flies to Munich and then will finally be spoken to. Will he extend his contract or not? I heard he feels very, very comfortable.

“Leroy is estimated to earn €20m. There is still a bit of leeway, but not much more. With Bayern, top earners were up to €25m. So, you have to talk. The contract should be extended.

“However, as I heard, Manchester City has now also set its eyes on him. His ex-club, whether he would return to Pep Guardiola? I honestly don’t think so. I think Bayern really has very good chances to extend with Leroy. But that has to be discussed now. And these conversations are now starting.”
